Trick-or-Treat

Happy Begger's night! Tomorrow is Halloween but tonight is the night I went Trick-or-Treating for the first time! Now, technically I can't eat candy, so we just made a trip up to Ankeny to show off my tiger costume and hang out with some family. I had a great time!

This is me sitting in my Grandma's pumpkin bucket. I feel pretty Halloweeny! Look at all those leaves Daddy needs to rake!

Here is when I arrived at Great Aunt Cathy and Great Uncle Kevin's house. They were so surprised to see me! Unfortunately I didn't get any of that chocolate in the bowl. Daddy enjoyed some for me!

Oh man! I blinked!

Since I didn't get any chocolate, I got spoiled by my second-cousin Kendra. She tickled me and gave me lots of kisses. Those are better than chocolate anyway!

Finally, I got to play with some relatives closer to my age. This is Mya and Mason! They came over to Cathy and Kevin's in their costumes and we got to play!

I really thought Mya was neat and cute in her cheer-leading costume! My costume was too hot so I changed into my pj's.

Well its time to rest up for my Halloween party tomorrow at daycare! I bet I still don't get any chocolate - Mommy says "Not yet!"

Peace out!

making friends

Well its been a pretty laid back October. I'm now 5 months old and I've made some new friends. I've only got a few pictures to share so I'll have to remind Mommy to bring her camera when we visit my other friends.

This is my friend Emma. My mommy went to school with her mommy, Sara. Emma is older than me, but I'm catching up to her in weight. I've only got 6 more pounds to go! I guess I really AM a big boy!

This is my REALLY new friend Carter. He is only one month old and in this picture he was only one week old. He was born big like me, but I got a head start on growing tall. I bet we'll be running around playing together next summer! I can't wait!

Finally, this is my best friend. My big sister Sidney wasn't sure she liked me at first, but now we are all good! She likes to lick my drooly face (Mommy and Daddy think its gross) and I like to pet her hairy face. I laugh when she runs around the house or chases the ball in the back yard. She's so funny!

Look at me admire her and one of her many talents. I love my dog!

Hope you all have a Happy Halloween! I'll be adding picture of me in my first costume soon! It will be so fun!
Peace out!

Race For the Cure

Well, Mommy took me on my 3rd benefit walk but this one was by far the biggest. (I've already been on the Buddy Walk and the Walk for PKD!) Today we went to the Race for the Cure. She was hoping to meet some people she knew there, but there were over 20,000 people so we didn't find anyone until we were on our way home. We talked to Mommy's friend, Curt, but otherwise we just kept each other company. Here are some pictures of the action!

This is us watching all the crazy runners getting ready. Mommy and I walked the 1 mile course because she says she's too out of shape to run right now!

These are all the people walking with us! No wonder we couldn't find anyone!

When we got home, Mommy let me try on her Warriors in Pink headband. Do I look rock-n-roll? Tough guys wear pink!

I wonder what benefit walk we'll go on next! No matter what it is it will be fun! I love my stroller and being outside!
See you all soon!
Peace out!

Things I learned in Aug & Sept

Hello family and friends! Mommy decided that her MySpace account wasn't good enough and emailing everyone wasn't efficient enough. So she decided to help me set up a blog so I can share my milestones with everyone! Now you don't have to be a member of anything to see how much I've grown!

Well, I've learned many new things in August and September. I'm 4 and a half months old and learned about pumpkin patches, rice cereal, trucks, books, rolling over, and the wonder of being an independent "Big Boy!" Below are some pictures that show me in action!

No, I didn't really learn to sit up on my own. Mommy just propped me up against two pumpkins then leaned out of the shot really quick. It felt so great to be independent for two seconds!

Here's me and Daddy! He had fun too and bought me a 20 pound pumpkin! Thats bigger than me! (the doctor said I weigh 17 pounds at my last appointment)

I also learned how to eat off a spoon! This was my first attempt but two weeks later, I'm getting pretty good at it! This is me eating rice cereal but this week I broadened my repertoire to include baby oatmeal! Yummy!

This is me watching Daddy. He was going to teach me how to fix trucks, but Mommy said I was too little and the ground was too dirty. I think I got a good idea of what its all about. I'll be under there with him next year!

This is me reading! Yes, I'm a genius! Mommy reads to me every night before bed, but this night I read to her! Even when she's reading to me, I hold the book for her so she can concentrate on the reading. My books have pretty complex story lines so Mom has to concentrate pretty hard. My favorites include: "No More Monkeys Jumping on the Bed" and "Silly Sally." They make me giggle!

I learned how to hold my bottle like a "Big Boy!" Mommy or Daddy still stand guard to help me if I choke or spill, but I tell them I only need them if I feel like a good cuddle! This picture shows me adding a little style with my feet!

Finally, I learned how to roll over on October 1st while at Nana and Papa Linn's house. I'm getting pretty good at it but this picture doesn't do it justice. Mommy is going to have to figure out how to put video on here so I can show off!

That's all for now! Next blog I should be driving a car (that's what Mom says when she thinks I'm growing too fast!) Peace out!
