End of Summer

Okay... So it's already November and I still have
cool summer stories to share! Mommy's new
job makes her tired so she hasn't been able to help me
with the computer as much!

Let's start with the State Fair...
Mom, Grandma and I went in the butterfly tent
and saw BEAUTIFL butterflies all over!
We also rode on the sky lift! In August Noah turned one!
Happy Birthday cousin Noah!

He enjoyed his cake while I enjoyed an Elmo cupcake!
Noah's mommy and daddy threw a great party!
Noah was a prince for a day!
Back in Huxley, Daddy and I hunted for creepy crawlies!
This is the killer spider we caught under a brick!
It was as bigger than a quarter!
We let him go far away from the house at mom's request.
At the end of August I started a new daycare
in my new town. I love going to Lilypad and have made
lots of new friends!
Huxley also had prarie fest and I got to watch hot air
balloons for the second time in one summer!Later, on one of our late night walks, Mommy and I found
a little toad. We took it home and named it Toad Jack.
He lives somewhere in our back yard now.

Grandpa remodeled the fort in Eagle Grove.
I love playing "pirate" in the fort now that
I'm big enough to climb the big ladder.

Grandma also has a cool bike that I can ride!
I'm feeling pretty big this summer!

I'm a cowboy!
Can you say Lane Frost?! :)

Noah is starting to catch up to me!
He's going to be real competition soon!
Funny Noah!
Grandma has bigger frogs than my Toad Jack.
This was the leopard frog we caught in her pond!
He was slimy!
Mmmm... Smores!
Roasting marshmallows in Grandma and
Grandpa's fire pit.
Grandpa and I enjoyed the fire from a
safe distance.
Grandma likes to give me love
(and flag bandaids)!
My great-aunt Camilla invited us to her farm and
I got to pet baby kitties for the first time (and maybe
the last because Daddy is alergic!)
They were so sweet!
Daddy and I rode on Camilla's horses. Daddy
rode on the boy horse.
I rode on Sally. It was awesome!
Camilla also had a big trampoline and I wasn't even scared!
Mya and I jumped until we were exhausted!
Good times!
Okay, now that those are posted, Mommy and I are
going to start workin on Fall pictures (before winter gets here!)

Peace out!

Parks, Parades, and Play

Summer has been fun so far!
Lately I've been staying close to home to play
especially when it was raining, and raining, and raining!
On days like that, Daddy and I like to play cars!
But on sunny days, its off to the park!
On this particular sunny day, it was hot enough
to go "naked" as I like to call it. Mommy just calls
it "shirtless" but I think "naked" sounds more fun!
Learning how to use the big swings!
Watching the ants eat my picnic leftovers!
We also went to the DM Arts Festival.
It was HOT!
I was able to pose for mommy...
and make a really awesome hat!
Mommy has also let me stay up past my bedtime
a few times to do fun things like catch lightning bugs!
Here they are in their cage after spending the night in my room.
Mommy told me I had to let them go back to their
families outside. Goodbye bugs!
I have also become a fan of the "big park" in Slater.
This is where I'll go to school when I'm 5.
( in the school building, not the playground, silly!)
I found a "hidey-hole!"
I TOLD you it was the BIG park!
The 4th of July was a little soggy but we
still made it to the parade.
Mommy...
Daddy...
wet dog!
There were LOTS of wet dogs in this parade but
I'd have to say my favorite parts were the fire trucks!
Now, when Mommy and I aren't feeling like traveling,
we have great fun with my new sand and water table!
It is lots of fun AND a friend magnet!
I've already made 4 new neighborhood friends with this thing!
With all this playing, I must restore my energy and how do
I do that? Why, with ICE CREAM!Couldn't you just kiss this face!?
Please kids, don't play with matches!
I'm gonna need some back up here!
Maybe the jaws of life... I've got tape stuck to my face!
Hope you are all enjoying your summer!
Peace out!

Big Update!

Yes, yes, yes... it's been a while!
I've been a little busy and haven't updated
my blog in a few months. Now, I last posted as a big
snowstorm was hitting Iowa. Here I am enjoying
it in my old backyard. It was perfect snow for playing!
And here I am eating it!
My fancy spider hat Mommy made me.
My extremely cute cousin Noah in an extreme closeup!
Noah let me borrow his sunglasses.
Mommy said I was cute!
Yes, I am a big boy!
I am now wearing "big boy pants!"
Mommy says, "Hooray!"
I recently got my first black eye!
This was the day it happened...
I was playing a heated game of hide and seek
and didn't see the deck until it was too late!
Pretty tough, huh?
Telling Grandpa all about my shiner...
Smiles for my Grandma!
Easter egg hunting with Dalton and Makenzie.
I love my big cousins!
Eating my first (and last) Peep!
It didn't really live up to all the hype :(
More Easter egg hunting!
See that black eye getting darker!?
It just matches the chocolate on my mouth!
Bunny Lane and Bunny Noah
Mom and Aunt Nita made us do this...
Okay, NOW this black eye looks tough!
You should have seen the deck! :)
My first green thumb experience was a success!
I grew a bean at daycare. Mommy was so proud of me!
We sold our house this spring!
We were happy to be getting a new house but sad
to leave our neighbors.
I enjoyed the boxes Mommy gathered
for packing. I decided they were much better used
for driving!Daddy helped me leave my mark in the backyard
of my first home.
After one big event, came another...
I turned 2 years old!
Mmmm.... Cake!
I got so spoiled!
This is my new ride!
It was love at first sight!
I love my trike!
I have been riding it whenever I can!
After a fun birthday party, Daddy taught me
how to catch a snake. I love any kind of
animal, but I wasn't about to touch it! Yuck!
Goodbye Mr. Snake!
Just playing in the long grass... getting ticks...
Meet my buddy Ol' Dan. He lives at
Grandma and Grandpa's house and is a
nice old hound dog. Good ol' boy!
On my actual birthday, Mommy took me somewhere
special. We drove by it many times and I would just
talk about it but had never been there...
Here I am pointing at it...
Here I am having a picnic in front of it...
Can you guess where I am?
It's the Iowa State Capital Building!
Mom says it's strange that I love the Capital building
but I'm just aspiring to do great things in my future!
Okay, so I can't quite get my fingers to say "2"
but I'm not an employee at the Capital yet, so give
me a break!
Checking out the fountain at the Capital.
Half-way up the many stairs...
Photo-op with Mommy!
Beautiful spring flowers were all around the Capital.
Another big event to happen this spring was my
surgery. It was a simple surgery but it was in a
sensitive area I'd rather not discuss. It was a success
and "no big deal" as the doctor put it!
Grandma came down to keep Mommy company
while I was with the doctor. We had to be at the
hospital at 5:30 am so Grandma was a trooper to
come along! (oh, and George came too!)
George even got a bracelet because he came to
the operating room with me!
I got to ride in this fancy hospital car to the
operating room.
I'm not quite sure when Mommy and Grandma left
me but I don't remember much after this moment anyway.
The doctor said I was only "under" for about 5 minutes.
I woke up easy and was home playing again an hour later.
This surgery stuff is a cinch!
This was the last week at our old house.
Daddy let me ride the mower but Mommy said
only if I wore hearing protection. Awww, Mom!
Back in EG for Uncle Matt's graduation,
I went mushroom hunting for the first
time. Grandpa helped me find this big one!
Look at all of them!
My Uncle Matt graduated from high school!
I didn't get to go to the ceremony (naps are pretty important)
but Mommy got this picture of him in his cap and gown.
Mommy bought me a season pass to the zoo
for the summer. I've gone quite a few times already.
Here I am with my friend Jacob.
On another visit, I got a close-up of a noisy peacock!
And even closer to a snow leopard!
Now for some pictures of our new home!
My back yard!
I've got a lot of mowing to do with this little mower!
My bathroom!
(Daddy's replacing the shower head)
Oh... and here I am drawing an awesome picture in
the bathtub. Mommy had to take a pictures because
she couldn't hang it on the fridge.
It's a picture of me and Mommy. Can you see it?
Mommy is on the top and I'm in the middle. I even
gave us eyes! Mommy was impressed! Here's a shot of our kitchen (not the best) but if you look close,
I'm dancing under the rainbow dots on the ceiling.
Our living room... not done being decorated,
but a nice place to play.
My toy area in the basement.
My room with my BIG BOY BED!
Maybe I'll get Mommy to take some better
pictures of the house and post them soon. For now I think
this blog was long enough!
Good night and from Huxley,
Peace out!
